I.A.S.C. Second Division League Championship

On Sunday 4 March, Birkirkara St. Joseph Sports Club, currently fourth in the league table on goal difference, take on newly crowned Second Division champions Marsa Trinity in the final match of the championship. A place in the Inter-League Competition is at stake for the Saints, should they claim a victory and their direct rivals in the table slip a point. Facing them, however, are none less than the champions from Marsa, who would cherish the silverware giving ceremony and the ensuing celebrations at their hometown, with a victory. Unbeaten in their championship winning campaign, conceding just four goals and scoring 16 times, the Marsa club has put together quite a formidable formation. Birkirkara St. Joseph will have to be at their very best during this encounter, avoid conceding easy scoring opportunities to their opponents, and convert all their chances with the least possible misses. The other important matches on the final day of the Second Division League Championship are: Mqabba Albions vs Zabbar Crystal Blues (8:30 a.m. kick-off), and Gzira United vs Mgarr Falcons (11:00 a.m. kick-off).The League table before the final matches on Sunday is the following:
