Transformed Saints Held by Mgarr Falcons

Fielding a much stronger squad for their second league match, Birkirkara St Joseph were a transformed side against Mgarr Falcons, following their previous rubbing at the hands of Qrendi Sparrows.

Building cautiously from the back, the Saints ensured a solid defense for the first half of the match. In the second half they were finding the space to go forward and were really dangerous on at least four occasions, without letting their guard down at the back. By the end of the match the Falcons were overwhelmed, restricted to control the Yellows’ dangerous exploits in their penalty area. However they could not find the elusive goal, for the match to end 0-0.
