Birkirkara St. Joseph’s Michelle Vella Wood was the first female to finish the 10-kilometre road running race organised by Savio A.C. at Dingli. The Saints’ national triathlon champion, at this early stage of her training built-up, also managed to get the second best time overall, in a tough, hilly and foggy Dingli circuit. She clocked 41 minutes, 40 seconds, a finishing time second only to the first in the males’ category. Her showings this year have been very encouraging, auguring well in view of her commitments in the coming months.
