Birkirkara St. Joseph's Rudolph Agius qualifies for Ironman World Championships in Hawai'i

Rudolph Agius, Birkirkara St. Joseph’s top long-distance triathlete, successfully qualified for a coveted place in the Ironman World Championship to be held on the 13th October 2018 in Kailua-Kona, Hawai’i. Considered to be triathlon’s most iconic event, Agius will be the Saints’ second triathlete to race in Kona, following in the footsteps of the Club’s triathlon legend Dermot Galea who was the first Maltese to make it to Kona in 2013.

Graham Borg, Anjelika Ruggier take the honours at second race of Birkirkara St. Joseph Sprint Triathlon Series

The second race of the 2018 Birkirkara St. Joseph Sprint Triathlon Series, which took place in Salina recently, saw current National Triathlon Champion Graham Borg take the honours with a comfortable win in a time of 1:02:50. The result came exactly a week after Borg having raced in the gruelling Ironman Austria Race achieving a sub-10 hour result.
